The 45,000 km system ringing Africa and reaching the Gulf, Pakistan and India through the Pearls extension: 46 landings in 33 countries, built by ASN for a consortium of Meta, Vodafone, Orange, MTN/Bayobab, China Mobile International, stc, Telecom Egypt and WIOCC. Core system complete and ready for service in most landing countries; Telecom Egypt delivered the Red Sea–Mediterranean terrestrial crossing.
