The Situation

Your role

Business Analyst

You are accountable for knowing what the business actually does, including the parts nobody wrote down.

Three product families have migrated, and operations keeps finding things the new platform cannot do.

A B2B managed-services operator is nine months into replacing a fifteen-year-old BSS/OSS estate. Products and customer data were mapped in detail. Capabilities were not.

Since wave one, operations has raised 34 gaps. A bulk contract-renewal routine. A partial-cease that leaves the access circuit live. A credit note that reverses a specific charge type. None appear in any requirement document; all are in daily use.

We have always done it that way. I did not know it was a feature.
