IPTV / Triple-Play Bundle

End-to-end flow for activating a residential triple-play bundle (1 Gbps FTTH + VoIP + Premium IPTV with 2 STBs), from serviceability through multi-CFS decomposition, parallel broadband/voice/IPTV activation, STB provisioning with CAS pairing, middleware entitlement, bundle billing, and correlated multi-service assurance.

Architecture Overview

Triple-play bundles three services over a single FTTH access connection: broadband (data VLAN), VoIP (voice VLAN), and IPTV (multicast VLAN). Each CFS has independent provisioning but shares the physical OLT/ONT layer. IPTV adds middleware, CAS, and STB management complexity.

Each CFS has its own activation sequence and can fail independently.

Customer Premises

ONT provides Ethernet for data, FXS for voice, and dedicated port for STBs. 2× STBs (4K + HD) receive multicast IPTV.

ONT + STBs (CPE)

ONT bridges fibre to triple-play VLANs. STBs are operator-supplied managed devices with CAS pairing and TR-069 management.

PON + Triple-Play VLANs

GPON access with separate VLANs: 100 (data), 200 (voice), 300 (IPTV multicast), 400 (management). H-QoS per service class.

Service Platforms

BNG for broadband, IMS/softswitch for voice, IPTV middleware + CAS + DRM for TV. Each CFS has independent activation.

Content & Interconnect

IPTV headend/CDN for live and VOD content. PSTN/mobile interconnect for voice. EPG and content rights management.
